No copying names into another site. It reads your club, looks up current market prices and does the work inside the web app, where you already are.
Fills a challenge with whatever costs you least: your own club and SBC storage, or cheap cards from the market when buying beats handing in one of your better players. It uses your lowest ratings and checks the squad against EA's own rules before you hand it in.
Pick a set and a grade, and it buys the cards that lineup still needs. With selling on, each card goes straight back on the market just under the cheapest other listing, so once they sell you get most of your coins back. You lose the 5% EA tax and the small undercut, and a card that does not sell comes back to your transfer list.
Buy players of one rating, or the cheapest bronze, silver or gold cards it can find. For bronze, silver and gold it starts at the lowest price EA allows and only goes higher when nothing is on offer, up to the maximum you set.
See what sold and what came back unsold, and list your cards again just under the cheapest one on the market. Or list them above it and let them sit, for buyers who take the first card they see. You see every price before anything is listed.
It reads prices from two price sources while it works, and every buy is a real listing it finds on the EA market at that moment.
Every behaviour is a setting: which players it may use, how much it may pay, a number of coins it must never touch, and whether it only fills a squad or hands it in too.

No. It runs inside the web app you are already signed in to and uses that session. It never sees your EA password.
A few things, none of them your club. Price and player lookups go from your browser to public price sites and carry no account details. About twice a day it checks your licence key with squadbutler.com, together with a random id for this computer, so one key runs on one computer. Your club, your squads and your coins stay in your browser. The privacy page lists everything.
It can, if you let it. Buying is switched on when you install it, because a cheap card from the market is often better than handing in one of your good players. Before it buys, it shows you the cards and roughly what they cost, and you press Buy or Cancel. A gem SBC done several times in a row asks once, for all the rounds. You can switch buying off, or set a number of coins it must never touch, in Settings.

No. EA's terms do not allow tools that automate the web app, and EA can block your transfer market or ban your account for using one. Only use Squad Butler if you accept that risk.
They come by themselves. Your browser checks for a new version at least once a day and installs it, and your settings stay as they are.
Squad Butler reads prices and gallery lineups from public price sites. If one of them changes or blocks it, some features can stop working until an update fixes them.
Yes, whenever you like, from your account page. A monthly plan runs to the end of the month you paid for. A yearly plan runs to the end of its first year; once it has renewed, you can stop it at any time with at most a month's notice and get the months after that back. In your first 14 days you can also change your mind and get all your money back. Refunds and cancelling explains it step by step.
